Resume Builder

Fill in your details on the left, pick a template, add your own sections for anything a standard resume doesn't cover — projects, certifications, publications — and download a polished PDF. Everything stays in your browser; nothing is uploaded anywhere.

1. Choose a template

Premium fonts are downloaded the first time you use them, so PDF export needs an internet connection for those.

3. Summary

4. Sections

Rename any section, reorder with the arrows, and add entries. Use "Add custom section" for anything not listed — Projects, Certifications, Publications, Volunteering, and so on.

How your data is handled

Every field here is read and rendered entirely in your browser with plain JavaScript — nothing is sent to a server. Your in-progress resume is saved to your browser's local storage automatically, so it survives a page refresh, but it never leaves your device unless you download the PDF yourself.

Choosing a template

Templates marked "ATS-safe" use a single column and standard section headings, which most Applicant Tracking Systems can parse reliably. The sidebar and banner templates look more distinctive but use a layout that some older ATS software can misread — good for direct-to-recruiter applications or your personal site, riskier for large-company portals that auto-parse resumes.

Building your own sections

Each entry — whether under Experience, Projects, or a section you create — has the same fields: a heading, an optional subheading, an optional details line (good for things like team size or tools used), a date range, and a description. Write one line per bullet point in the description and they'll render as a bulleted list automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Is this resume builder really free, with no watermark?

Yes — there's no account, no watermark, and no limit on downloads. The whole tool runs in your browser; there's no server-side cost per resume that would need to be recouped through fees.

Which template should I use for online job applications?

Choose one marked "ATS-safe" — these use a single column and standard section headings that most Applicant Tracking Systems (the software many companies use to auto-parse resumes) can read reliably. Save the sidebar and banner templates for direct-to-recruiter emails or your personal portfolio site.

Will my resume data be saved if I close the tab?

Yes — your in-progress resume is automatically saved to your browser's local storage, so reopening the page later restores where you left off. It's tied to this browser and device though, not synced to an account.

Can I add a section this tool doesn't already have, like Certifications or Publications?

Yes — use the "+ Add section" field at the bottom of the sections list to create a custom section with any name, and add entries to it exactly like Experience or Education.

Does the PDF download contain real, selectable text?

Yes — the PDF is built with actual text and vector graphics, not a screenshot, so the text is selectable, searchable, and readable by ATS software (for the ATS-safe templates).
