Image Watermark Tool
Upload an image and add a text or logo watermark — positioned, sized, and styled your way — then download the watermarked result.
How positioning and tiling work
The single-position options place your watermark at a fixed margin from one corner or the center. "Tiled" instead repeats the watermark diagonally across the whole image at intervals — a common approach for stock photos and proofs, since it's much harder to crop out a tiled watermark than one sitting in a single corner.
Common uses
- Marking draft or proof images before sending them to a client for approval
- Adding a copyright notice or brand name to photos shared online
- Branding product photos with a small logo before publishing
Frequently asked questions
Where should I position a watermark to prevent cropping?
A single corner watermark can be cropped out relatively easily. For stronger protection, use the "Tiled" position, which repeats the watermark diagonally across the whole image, making it much harder to remove without damaging the image.
What opacity should I use for a watermark?
30–70% opacity is common — high enough to be clearly visible and hard to remove, low enough not to obscure the image underneath. Adjust based on whether the watermark is meant to be subtle branding or a strong proof/draft marker.
Can I use my logo instead of text?
Yes — switch "Watermark type" to "Logo image" and upload a logo file (a PNG with a transparent background works best), then adjust its size and position.
Does the watermark reduce the image's original quality?
No — the original image is drawn at full resolution onto the canvas, and the watermark is drawn on top; the underlying photo isn't recompressed or resized in the process.
